The Type 4 chassis is a modified version of the
Type 2 chassis. The area behind the seatback frame
is modified to take a Mazda MX-5 rear sub-frame. This unit is
intended to be welded into place.
The complete MX-5 rear sub-frame offers a fairly simple
solution to implement a differential,
halfshafts and full rear independent suspension in a single
assembly.
